Bermuda Triangle is a fascinating but terrifying oceanic enigma. No conversation, writing, or account on Bermuda can be deemed complete without, in some way, bringing in the mention of Bermuda Triangle – that treacherous and illusive triangular piece of ocean that became the graveyard of ships, aircrafts, and so many human beings, many of them lost to oblivion without a trace. Here, ships vanished without a trace, aircraft disappeared from radars, and countless lives were seemingly swallowed by the ocean’s depths, sparking tales of supernatural forces, alien abductions, and underwater pyramids.
Over the years though, the mystery has been unravelled substantially, its romance, intrigue, and allure endures. Millions are drawn to this region stretching roughly between Miami, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico.
The poem below was written during a recent visit to Bermuda, a place so beautiful that made Mark Twain famously write, ‘If you want to go to Heaven, you can: I ‘d rather stay in Bermuda’.
The Triangle's Call
In waters deep and skies so blue,
Lies a place of mystery, known to few.
Where ships and planes have met their fate,
In the Bermuda Triangle's enigmatic state.
Nature's secrets, hidden well,
Pose a challenge where mysteries dwell.
Humankind, with spirit bold,
Seeks to master what the depths withhold.
Whispers of ghosts, lost in time,
Echo through the waves in haunting rhyme.
Sailors speak of a cursed domain,
Where logic falters and reason wane.
Beneath the waves, in the silent deep,
Secrets and stories forever keep.
A dance of shadows, a game unseen,
In the Triangle's grasp, where they've always been.
No compass guides, no star can light,
The path through this enigmatic night.
For in this place where legends meet,
Mystery and the unknown greet.
Yet mankind strives, with endless zeal,
To unravel what the sea conceals.
A quest to conquer, understand,
The peculiar ways of sea and land.
So heed the warnings, brave the tales,
Of vanished crews and haunting gales.
For in the Bermuda Triangle's hold,
Lies a mystery, timeless and bold.
