The Babbler’s Babble

(Arguably the most drab and plain-looking, Babblers do not enjoy the attention and admiration an eagle or a peacock commands. Deemed garrulous and clumsy, and often dismissed as a noisy bunch of busybodies, their contribution to our daily life rarely finds expression. Yet, their energy and ceaseless activity, and the strange melody of their chatter are  engaging illustration of a complex and sophisticated social organisation and  communication. What does the music patent in their apparently meaningless babble signify? )

In the Babbler's dance and revelry so wild,
In ceaseless motion, sparring like a child,
Endless chatter, an unceasing stream,
Is there a hidden purpose, a secret design?

In these chaotic twirls without a bound,
Do hidden messages in flight surround?
In raucous noise, a subtle melody's found,
Is a scripted story on nature's stage unwound?

Though near, they seem a world apart from us,
Their music lost in human clamour's fuss,
Such vibrant energy, yet we dismiss,
Who are these creatures, what is their bliss?

You, humans, blind to nature's graceful grace,
Unheeding of Earth's rhythm and solace,
Their flights are ordered, winds' sweet embrace,
In their chatter, nature's song we trace.

Open your eyes to the world they know,
These blind denizens who fail to glow,
Listen with your ears, let the music flow,
Their notes divine, in the winds they sow.

Let your heart feel the pulse of life's grand scheme,
Embrace the world as they live out their dream,
Before you call them noisy; argue, and demean,
Reflect on yourselves, don't we all share this theme?
