A Day on The Tawa

( Standing on an elevated parapet and looking at the mesmerising expanse of water of Tawa reservoir was an exquisite experience. The sights and sounds were feast to the senses and mana to the soul)

In an ethereal realm, transcending time,
Where serenity blooms, ineffable, divine,
 A tranquillity unmatched, beyond compare,
Envelops my weary mind with tender care.

A boundless canvas, the water's embrace,
Like molten silver, serene and chaste,
Not a ripple stirs its glassy repose,
Reflecting skies of azure, heaven's prose.

Verdant hills encircle, majestic and grand,
Their forms emerge, then merge, as if unplanned,
They dance with grace upon the crystal stage,
Melting into the waters, an exquisite mirage.

Sunrays dapple the surface with gentle touch,
Flirting hues of pink, red, and gold, as such,
The horizon ignites with a fiery glow,
As a radiant charioteer begins to show.

The sun, a resplendent performer each day,
Returns at eve, with a softer display,
Weary from toil, its brilliance subdued,
Yet, it casts a spell, magical, and richly hued.

As night descends, the moon ascends, so bright,
Showering a soothing luminescent light,
A gentle sheen, a celestial embrace,
Bathing the world in tender, silver grace.

Silently, imperceptibly, night prevails,
Darkness spreads, like a shroud, its tale,
Yet fear and regret have no place here,
A mystic energy awakens, drawing near.

Inexplicable, this enchanting allure,
Suffuses the soul, with a slumber pure,
A strange somnolence, as dreams unfold,
Within its grasp, I surrender, behold.

And in this deep slumber, I'm gently bound,
By the whispers of dreams, where peace is found,
In this poetic beauty, my spirit is kept,
As I slip into the embrace of serene slept.
