Merry Christmas

The niveous neighbourhood
Sparkles in soft silvery
Glow of freshly fallen snow
Small children cast
Tiny footprints, shallow though
Little do they know!

Santa is watching them
Following them with intent
He seeks clues, a path
As he has to trudge
Later that night
With a bag, hefty and bright!

Keep your doors open,
Your hearth warm
Leave platefuls of lebkuchen
He will need to rest and refresh
Before offloading Gifts and Goodies
That’ll melt even the heathen!

Season’s Greetings and wishing all my readers a Merry Christmas!
