Bridges in the Clouds

Puffed clumps of hallowed hollows
Pink, Mauve, Violet, Blue
Swim, Float, slide, glide
In the sea of nothingness
Majestically romping with grace and
Uncommon pulchritude!

They but
Clash, collide, coalesce
Gently often but also
Violently and brutally
As if filled with rage
Of uncontrolled ferocity!

What if there were
Bridges connecting them?
Bridges that also float and glide
Move and march with them
What if, they effortlessly
Shift from one cloud to another!

Amidst us too,
There are numerous clouds
Of different shapes and varied forms
Existing in their own right
Driven by reasons legitimate to them
But also to contain and control others!

What if
There were bridges of understanding
Of reason and logic
Of love and empathy
Who will move and slide
Reconciling conflicting beliefs!

Will then there be
The fearsome thunderclaps of violence?
Or the blinding lightening of distrust?
Or the cruel urge to eliminate others
Just to survive alone?

Could we build such bridges?
Rising above blinding shackles of,
Ignorance, fears, biases, intolerance
Debilitated souls, and attenuated spirits
Joining the divided islands of dark desperation
With luminous pathways of shared existence!
